My sister, who lives in Belgium, takes the family to a resort in the French or Italian Alps for their ski vacation each year. And just yesterday, I drove a friend to the airport who was going to Denver for her ski getaway weekend. So jealous...
But not me...my little getaway was a "Ladies Day" at Cannonsburg, our local ski hill. I didn't have to pay for a plane ticket (and the logistics that come with a family of 6 traveling together) nor a resort stay and lift tickets.
For the low price of $25 I got a lift ticket, rentals, buffet lunch, and childcare. It also included a ski or snowboard lesson. What a deal! I went with a couple of friends recently and we had an awesome time. That now counts as my ski vacay.
